Directors
Ross and Debby Jameson have been directing camp since 1979 and bought the business from Rod and Catherine Jameson, Ross's parents, who founded the camp in 1934.
Ross has a degree in chemistry and thrives on building and designing projects around the ranch. He is musically inclined and enthralls campers with his guitar and singing. A big teddy bear of a guy, Ross plays a mean game of disc golf and makes sure everyone gets to bed on time. He also makes sure those camp counselors roll out of bed on time; after all, this is a working ranch.
Debby has a degree in nursing and oversees many of the details of camp health and camp management. She loves making sure everyone is healthy and happy, and actually enjoys pulling weeds in the garden. Debby takes lots of photos of kids in camp and talks to parents whenever needed. She is always interested in new ideas and how to make life better, like by meadow mucking in the mud pit.
Assistant Directors:
PETE IVERSEN has been with camp for many years. He is raising his family in nearby Glennville and can do about any repair or construction job that needs to be done on the ranch. He likes hanging out and supervising the junior counselors and can often be seen in his chariot, the Bobcat, making the ranch a better place. Pete's degree is in history and it is always fun to discuss world events with him.
ERICA JAMESON BREWER has been assistant director for several years and combines this with being an award-winning history teacher at North High School in Bakersfield. She directs the horse program with expertise, and is known for her feng shui approach and humorous presentations. Erica grew up on the ranch and can handle any challenge. She keeps everyone on their toes including Mom and Dad(Ross and Debby).
